Evie is a contemporary dance artist, teacher, creator, producer and remedial massage therapist based on the Gold Coast, QLD. Captivated by people and their relationship to this planet, she works with movement and the body to share her practices in the studio, and in the treatment room.
As a performer, Evie has performed and toured works with Jasmin Vardimon, Avant Garde and IJAD Dance Company. She has choreographed works in collaboration with David Lloyd for ‘Neverland’ and Joumana Mourad for ‘Future Proof Your Body’, as well as for South London Dance School.
In 2021, Evie worked as a director and curator for The Evening, a project celebrating the art of screendance through residencies, workshops, events and community. During 2021, we ran our inaugural programme sharing the works of over 20 dance films and visual artists, supported by Arts Council England, in partnership with The Hackney Social and Deptford Does Art.
Since moving to Australia, Evie has taught contemporary dance for a range of studios and schools in Melbourne and Perth, such as SCIMM Dance Company, (Melbourne), The Space (Melbourne). STRUT (Perth, The Spot (Perth), The Dance Collective (Perth) as well as high schools. Evie has led workshops for teachers, creative workshops, as well as maintaining regular technique classes.
As a massage therapist Evie has worked for WA Sports Massage, as well as Heartwood Natural Harmony (Perth). Evie is currently working on developing bespoke facial massage treatments for The Bathhouse// The Facehouse in Dunsborough, WA.
Evie is passionate about sharing her knowledge on movement, body work and the power it has to heal ourselves on a deeper intrinsic level.
